Our fellowship provides comprehensive clinical experiences in pediatric critical care medicine, including cardiac critical care, anesthesia, procedural sedation, and pediatric transport.
Fellow Responsibilities
- Direct critical care for all medical patients (and surgical patients, in co-management with admitting surgical services) admitted to the PICU
- Coordinate advanced organ support (e.g., ECMO, CRRT, pheresis, ventricular assist devices)
- Facilitate care for admission of patients from referring facilities, operating rooms, the emergency department, and other inpatient wards
- Serve as Medical Control for pediatric critical care transport
- Serve as physician lead of Pediatric Rapid Response Team and Code Blue Team
- Provide critical care support to Level 1 Trauma and severe pediatric burns in the ED
