The mission of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is to provide evaluation and treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders and participate in clinical and translational research to help lead future practice. The GI and hepatology team consists of 7 physicians, 5 nurse practitioners, 6 registered nurses, a team of pediatric dieticians, and a pediatric health psychologist who help manage complex and chronic gastrointestinal disease. This team offers care through outpatient clinics at UW Health Kids and hospital care at UW Health Kids American Family Children’s Hospital, as well multiple sites across the region. The division has an active liver transplant program with exceptional outcomes through close collaboration with transplant surgery, anesthesia, and intensive care.
