Leah Frater-Rubsam, PhD
Dr. Leah Frater-Rubsam is a second-year Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) Fellow. She earned her PhD in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and previously served as a Clinical Genomics Supervisor at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene–UW Cytogenetic and Molecular Genetic Services Laboratory. Her professional interests include applying genetics and genomics to advance public health and improve the delivery of genomic testing in clinical laboratory settings.
Yajing Peng, PhD
Dr. Yajing Peng is a first-year Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) Fellow. Originally from China, she earned her PhD in Genetics from Nanjing University. She then moved to Wisconsin to pursue postdoctoral training at the University of Wisconsin–Madison before transitioning from basic research to clinical laboratory genetics at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene. She is currently continuing her training as an LGG Fellow. Dr. Peng’s professional interests include clinical genomics, cytogenetics, molecular diagnostics, and advancing patient care through precision medicine and innovative genomic technologies.
