Each year, the Journeys & Frontiers in Pediatric Research program offers inspiring career stories, career development mentoring, feedback on research, and networking opportunities to a select group of 100 early-career participants. Provided by the American Pediatric Society (APS) and Society for Pediatric Research (SPR), the cohort program is designed to encourage and support the careers of promising early-career pediatric investigators. Participants are nominated by department chairs and other national pediatrics leaders. The 2024-2025 APS SPR Journeys & Frontiers in Pediatric Research program will include two faculty members from the University of Wisconsin Department of Pediatrics: Taylor House, MD, assistant professor, Division of Nephrology, and Jingshing Wu, MD, PhD, assistant professor, Division of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery.
