Olachi Mezu-Ndubuisi receives McPherson Eye Research Institute professorship

Dr. Mezu-Ndubuisi research program is one of five housed in the new space

Congratulations to Olachi Mezu-Ndubuisi, MD, assistant professor, Neonatology and Newborn Nursery, on being named the McPherson Eye Research Institute’s Retina Research Foundation Edwin and Dorothy Gamewell Professor. The professorship is for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2021, and includes annual funding for research program support and other expenses and services to assist Mezu-Ndubuisi in her research and scholarly activities. 

Mezu-Ndubuisi’s research group studies the correlation between the effects of oxidative stress in the retina and other developing organs, like the lung and kidneys, and investigates the signaling mechanisms involved in these complex interactions. Read more about her research.
