The Academic Pediatric Association (APA) Health Policy Scholars Program is a three-year faculty development program designed to educate APA members on creating a systematic and scholarly approach to health policy and advocacy. Mary Ehlenbach, MD, associate professor, Division of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care, and director of diversity, equity, and inclusion, will be a member of the cohort that begins in May 2024. The primary goal of the HPSP is to prepare scholars for a successful academic career in public policy and advocacy through mentorship, networking, and designing projects that meet the standards for professional review.
