Nina Menda, MD, associate professor, Division of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery, was named medical director of UW Health Kids Quality and Patient Safety, effective January 1. In this role, Menda will serve as the physician lead responsible for enhancing the breadth and focus of quality improvement and patient safety across all aspects of the UW Health pediatric system of care. She will be a key member of the American Family Children’s Hospital executive team and will spearhead clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, patient safety, and clinical integration in the institution’s pursuit of high-quality care and zero patient harm.
