Title: Connected Kids, Informed Care: Why Pediatricians Must Address Digital Safety
Session Overview: Children and teens are being exposed to new dangers through the internet that may affect both their physical and emotional well-being. Pediatricians may play a key role in recognizing risks and helping to promote digital safety. This session will equip healthcare providers with awareness of online risks and warning signs, and how to be proactive in using opportunities in the clinic to provide internet safety education and resources to children and their families.

Series Overview: Pediatric Grand Rounds is a weekly multidisciplinary and interprofessional conference designed to improve a participant’s ability to practice pediatric medicine, including patient care, conducting healthcare research, providing medical education, addressing public health, and implementing innovation.
Target Audience: MD/DO, RN, APRN, Residents, Fellows, and other Trainees.
Global Learning Objectives:
- Identify state of the art, evidence-based pediatric research and/or education, and/or clinical care including the prevention, diagnosis and treatment for pediatric patients.
- Analyze issues of social impact and belonging related to pediatric care.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other health care professionals, community members and families to advocate for health care needs of children.
