Applications are accepted through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®). All applicants must participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP®). Our fellowship offers one new fellow position per academic year. To be considered for a UW Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship position, you must be a:
- Graduate of a U.S. or Canadian medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME);
- Graduate of U.S. college of osteopathic medicine accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); or a
- Graduate of a medical school outside the U.S. or Canada, certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and meet one of the following criteria:
- Have US citizenship;
- Have permanent legal residency status in the US (green card); or
- Have or be eligible to hold a J-1 Clinical Visa sponsored by ECFMG. Note: UW Hospital and Clinics will not sponsor H-1 (temporary worker) visas.
We encourage second- and third-year fellows to seek support through an NIH training grant; therefore, we require extra consideration when accepting applicants who are on a visa of any type. Interviews
Upon receipt of all application material, selected candidates will be contacted to arrange interviews. Interviews are conducted over a Monday and Tuesday in September and October.
