Principal Investigator Bernadette Gillick, PhD, MSPT, PT, associate professor, Developmental Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, was awarded the 2020 American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) Research Grant for her project, titled “Teleneuromodulation in Children with Cerebral Palsy.” The study will investigate an open label telehealth intervention of transcranial direct current stimulation in children with cerebral palsy supervised in the home setting.  As PI, Gillick will direct all aspects of the study including training, regulatory oversight, recruitment, enrollment, study execution, analysis and deliverables. The $37,713 grant is funded by the National Institutes of Health through the National Pediatric Rehabilitation Resource.
