Bruce Klein receives funding to study white-nose syndrome in bats

Congratulations to Bruce Klein, MD, professor and division chief, Infectious Diseases, who recently received a two-year, $125,000 grant from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service for his project, “Develop an immune-based strategy to prevent and treat white-nose syndrome in bats.” The project will focus on creation of an immune-based strategy for the fungal infection white-nose syndrome (WNS), that will enable prevention and treatment of North American bats subject to WNS.
