Hobbies: Cooking, child wrangling, sun worship, home fermentation, car karaoke, gardening, finishing 50% of other new hobby projects including crochet, candle making, jewelry making, calligraphy, and a disappointing number of others (my husband has a full list saved in his head)
What’s your favorite thing about Madison: All of the easily accessible green spaces and family-friendly activities
Interesting fact about yourself: My husband and I have lived abroad in Italy and Thailand (many moons ago). Now we plan big trips to Costco and we finally made it to northern Wisconsin in the summer of 2025!
Non-medical dream job: Outdoor adventure guide
Dream travel destination: I want to swim with whale sharks in La Paz and great whites in South Africa

Interesting fact about yourself: In college, I studied abroad in Valladolid, Spain, where I became fluent in Spanish.

Research interests: solid tumors, immunotherapy, cancer genetics & predisposition syndromes
Current post-fellowship plans: Secure a job in academic medicine as a Peds Hematologist/Oncologist!
Family/dependent beings: My husband and my daughter. No pets currently, but hoping for some in the future!
Hobbies: Crossword puzzles, reading (fantasy & sci-fi), crochet, attempting to keep plants alive
What’s your favorite thing about Madison: The city: All the fun things to do in every season – kayaking, paddleboarding, cross country skiing, ice skating, etc. And of course, the food! The hospital: The wonderful and enthusiastic Peds Heme/Onc team who work their hardest to provide great care for our patients and provide fantastic support for kids, families, and their co-workers!
Interesting fact: I have run a marathon (Chicago 2014), and climbed a 14k mountain in Colorado (Grays Peak).
Non-medical dream job: Working in a library or bookstore, or alternatively in a green-house around all the pretty flowers
Dream travel destination: Greece or Nepal
Favorite food: Mexican food, but my comfort food is mashed potatoes!
