Undergraduate Awarded Welton Summer Sophomore Honors Apprenticeship for Research in Seroogy Lab

Congratulations to undergraduate student Jiaying Lai who was awarded a Welton Summer Sophomore Honors Apprenticeship for the project, “Utilization of a novel knock-out mouse to test the intrinsic requirement for Gene Related to Anergy in Lymphocytes (GRAIL) in CD4+ cell anergy.” This project will take place in the lab of Christine Seroogy, MD, and the purpose of these apprenticeships are to allow talented students to learn what research is and how it is conducted within a discipline by participating in actual, cutting-edge research.
