In September, a toolkit on a School-Based Asthma Management Program (SAMPRO) that was developed to address the needs of school-aged children with asthma, was made freely available on the University of Wisconsin’s Health Innovation Program web site. Sujani Kakumanu, MD, FAAAAI, and Robert Lemanske, MD, FAAAAI, collaborated with the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) to develop SAMPRO, which utilizes a four-part system to help children with asthma live healthier lives.
