Pediatrics Faculty and Staff Present at the Society for Critical Care Medicine’s 49th Annual Congress

Nearly 5,000 critical care professionals attend the Society for Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) annual Congress to discover the latest solutions and developments, medical advances, cutting-edge treatments, and breakthroughs in intensive care unit (ICU) administration and management. At this year’s 49th Congress –which took place February 16-19, 2020, in Orlando, FL. – six University of Wisconsin Department of Pediatrics faculty and staff presented the following abstracts:

  • “Estradiol increase only in the female hippocampi following hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy in mice” – by Margaret Hackett (Department of Pediatrics student researcher; mentor: Pelin Cengiz, MD)
