Pediatric Neuromodulation Lab members receive prestigious scholarships from Foundation for Physical Therapy Research

The Foundation for Physical Therapy Research recently announced the recipients of its 2023 Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS) Scholarships. Two of the 21 recipients are members of the Pediatric Neuromodulation Laboratory, led by Bernadette Gillick, PhD, MSPT, PT, associate professor, Division of Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine. Kellie Collins, PT, DPT, PCS, PhD student, received the PODS I in the amount of $7,500 for her work entitled “How does the neurophysiological development of the corticomotor system influence and predict motor function and participation in children with Cerebral Palsy?” Ellen Sutter, PT, DPT, PhD Candidate, received a PODS II in the amount of $15,000 for her work entitled “Neuroimaging and Movement Assessment in Early Detection of Cerebral Palsy.”
