Nathan Lepp is the new medical director for Med Flight Neonatal Critical Care Transport

Nathan Lepp, MD, MPH, associate professor, Division of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery, was selected to be the medical director for UW Health Med Flight Neonatal Critical Care Transport starting May 1. He has worked closely with Med Flight as associate medical director for the peds/neo critical care team since he joined the faculty in 2019. Lepp has over 15 years of transport experience and is deeply engaged in both outreach and improving the care of infants in the region. Within the Department of Pediatrics, he is active with the government affairs team, and he recently assisted in the passing of legislation to improve the rapid transport of sick infants and children in the state.

Irene (Allie) Hurst, MD, MS, assistant professor in the BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine, was selected as medical director of UW Health Med Flight Pediatric Critical Care Transport, also to start May 1. In addition, she serves as medical director of pediatric emergency medicine. Hurst has an affiliate appointment in the Department of Pediatrics.
