Kelly McGregory, DO, associate professor, interim chief in the Division of Child Protection, and associate residency program director, was elected to a three-year term on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Child Abuse and Neglect (CoCAN) Executive Committee. The new role begins on July 1. The CoCAN mission is to improve care and outcomes of infants, children, and adolescents through the prevention, identification, management, and treatment of child abuse and neglect. As a member of the CoCAN, McGregory will be involved in the executive committee’s work to develop policy, build partnerships, educate the pediatric community, and advocate on behalf of children, families, and health care providers.
