Drs. Vivek Balasubramaniam and Brian Williams represented UW Health before the Assembly Committee on Substance Abuse and Prevention on November 6, 2019. Drs. Balasubramaniam and Williams testified in support of the Tobacco 21 legislation, answering questions posed to them and clearing up lingering questions from previous speakers. The proposed legislation would change the legal age of purchasing tobacco products from 18 to 21 in the state of Wisconsin.
