The University of Wisconsin Department of Pediatrics was excited to celebrate Match Day 2024 on March 15. Medical students and programs from across the country eagerly awaited match results with friends, families, and colleagues. Last year, more than 40,000 medical students were offered residency positions, an almost 15% increase from the year prior. Medical students here at the University of Wisconsin were udder-ly excited to celebrate Match Day with dairy–themed events. This year our current and rising chief residents gave a behind–the–scenes look at the Pediatric Residency Program’s preparations for Match Day on Instagram as a way to share our excitement with our newly matched residents.
