Congratulations to Christina Amend, MD, fellow, Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant, and her mentors, Carol Diamond, MD, and John Sheehan, MD, who were recently awarded the 2022 HTRS/Novo Nordisk Clinical Scholar Award (CSA) in Hemophilia and Rare Bleeding Disorders. The award is supported by an educational grant to the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society, Inc. (HTRS) from Novo Nordisk Inc. The purpose of the CSA award is to provide financial support for an early-career physician interested in enhancing their clinical and clinical research training in hemostasis by engaging in a 12-month, intensive clinical scholar program focused on hemophilia and rare bleeding disorders, under the guidance of an experienced mentor. This $119,600 award supports a one-year fellowship in the clinical care of patients with hemophilia and rare bleeding disorders, including an honorarium for the mentor.
