Carissa Ostrom receives Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Advocacy and Engagement Award

Carissa Ostrom, a unit coordinator in the American Family Children’s Hospital NICU, received the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Advocacy and Engagement Award from the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcome Collaborative (CNOC). The award recognizes individuals or groups who have made significant contributions to advocacy, community engagement, or outreach within the area of cardiac neurodevelopment, mental health, and/or quality of life leading to improvements in the lives of individuals with pediatric or congenital heart disease and their families. Ostrom accepted the award last month during the 14th annual CNOC Scientific Sessions in Wilmington, Delaware.
