Members of the active medical staff recently voted to elect eight new at-large members of the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Medical Board. Among the newly elected is Britt Allen, MD, associate professor, Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Her two-year term will begin on September 1. The new members will join six other at-large members, including Deanna Jewell, DO, assistant professor, Division of Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine. The Medical Board consists of three officers of the medical staff, 18 clinical service chiefs, 14 at-large members, five administrative representatives, two GME representatives, and two APP representatives. Its primary concern is the quality of care at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.
