Mala Mathur elected to leadership position on AAP Council on Community Pediatrics

Dr. Mala MathurMala Mathur, MD, MPH, professor, Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, was elected to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Community Pediatrics. During this five-year commitment, she will serve two years as chair elect, two years as chair, and one year as past chair. The Council on Community Pediatrics is one of AAP’s largest councils. Its members seek to promote health justice and address non-medical drivers of health by supporting community pediatricians in innovative evidence-based education, clinical care, advocacy, education, and scholarship in collaboration with youth, families, and communities. Mathur’s term began on July 1.
