Elizabeth Mann, MD, assistant professor, Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes; and Rachel Fenske, MS, PhD, scientist I, Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes, have been awarded $13,770 by Cars Curing Kids to support year one of a two-year adolescent type 2 diabetes initiative. This award will secure funds for a device, The SOZOPro, that can measure body composition during clinic visits, which allows for centralized care for children, adolescents, and young adults with type 2 diabetes. This project began in January of this year, and will continue through December 2026 with the potential for renewal through December 2027.
