Professional Activities

Dr. Rachel Fenske is scientist I in the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes. Fenske is a passionate scientist and dietitian, doing her part to bring research to the people who need it most. Fenske has found that simultaneously working in both the clinic setting (as a pediatric diabetes dietitian) and the lab offers her the perfect combination of opportunities to advance clinical care. Fenske is active in the Wisconsin Chapter of the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists and is involved with Breakthrough T1D promoting advocacy work.

Research Interests

Fenske is interested in understanding how to implement evidence-based practice in clinic and improving clinical workflows. Within the Mann Research Group, they utilize a quality improvement framework to look critically at and devise strategies to address issues including access to care, quality of care, and clinical outcomes for children and young adults with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.
