Professional Activities

Dr. Lydia Wraight is associate professor (CHS) in the Division of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery, the program director of the neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship program, and the co-director of the neuro-NICU program. She is a member of the organization for neonatal training program directors and of the Palliative Care and Ethics Focus Group for the Children’s Hospital Neonatal Consortium. Wraight is also a member of the hospital ethics committees at both UnityPoint Health – Meriter and UW Health Hospitals and Clinics.

Clinical Interests

Wraight is a neonatologist with a special interest in perinatal and pediatric palliative care, as well as in clinical medical ethics. She works closely with the fetal concerns center to provide perinatal palliative care consultations and delivery planning, as well as consulting on ethically challenging cases.

Research Interests

Wraight’s research interests focus on the intersection of ethics, palliative care, and medical education: specifically on how ethics and palliative care are taught to trainees.
