Professional Activities

Dr. Nicole (Nikki) St Clair is associate professor (CHS) in the Divisions of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care and Global Pediatrics. She is also the director of the Global Child Health Training Program in the Department of Pediatrics. As a global health educator, she has served in leadership roles within the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Global Health, the American Board of Pediatrics Global Health Task Force, the Associate of Pediatric Program Directors Global Health Educators Group, and the Midwest Consortium of Global Child Health Educators. In these roles, she has worked to develop and promote best practices in global health education and utilized educational and clinical services to address health disparities.

Research Interests

St Clair’s professional interests include working with multidisciplinary teams, teaching students and residents, and helping families to smoothly navigate the path from hospital to home safely. She is also the Principal Investigator for a multi-site survey design study, Project PRIME (Psychosocial Response to International Medical Electives).
