Dr. Elly Ranum is assistant professor (CHS) in the Division of Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine.

Clinical Interests

Ranum is a developmental behavioral pediatrician dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to children with developmental delays and disabilities. She is committed to improving her patients’ quality of life and helping them reach their full potential by addressing factors across home, school, and community settings, in close partnership with parents and caregivers. She has a particular interest in working with families to address significant behavioral concerns and helping develop strategies that support both the child and the broader family. Ranum sees patients in the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Clinic and the Neuromotor Clinic.

Research Interests

Ranum’s research has focused on improving health care spaces to better accommodate neurodiverse patients, as well as equipping providers with the knowledge and tools to deliver safe, effective care to all patients regardless of interfering behaviors or sensory concerns.
