Marib Malik, MBBS

Dr. Marib Malik grew up in Karachi, Pakistan and moved to Ontario, Canada after completing medical school at Aga Khan University. Pediatrics brings together his love for working with children and his passion for medicine. He cherishes the longitudinal relationships developed in pediatrics and the ability to contribute not only to treatment but also a child’s long-term growth and development. He is deeply interested in the science and pathophysiology of disease and enjoys translating complex concepts into simple drawings and cartoons for his patients. Outside of medicine, he enjoys sports, particularly racket sports like tennis and pickleball. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and their newborn. He also plays the piano.

“I was drawn to the UW because of its strong breadth of clinical exposure and the opportunity it offered to truly shape an individualized learning experience. On my interview day, what stood out most to me was the program’s culture and how there was a genuine sense of support, close-knit camaraderie among residents, and a clear dedication to each person’s growth.
