Professional Activities
Dr. John Kink is scientist III in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant. He is a translational scientist who has worked in the biotech and academic sector developing novel vaccines and therapies in a variety of areas, including cancer, infectious diseases and regenerative medicine. Kink has numerous scientific publications and issued patents. He enjoys mentoring undergraduates at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Research Interests
For the last eight years Kink has focused his work on exosome and cell therapy to treat the complications of hematopoietic stem cell transplant, such as graft-versus-host-disease and acute radiation syndrome. Kink has also worked on developing an exosome-based therapy to treat musculoskeletal injuries and cancer.
