Professional Activities
Dr. Tim Elgin is associate professor (CHS) in the Division of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery. He is interested in the use of simulation to promote communication, team building, and patient safety within the field of neonatology.
Clinical Interests
Elgin’s clinical interests include the care of extremely low birth weight and ultra-low birth weight infants. He also works to develop ways that most effectively use high frequency ventilation to protect lung development in very premature infants.
Research Interests
Elgin’s research interests include the use of simulation to promote team training, clinical improvement, skill retention, and leadership.
