Matthew Dekman, MD

Dr. Matthew (Matt) Dekman grew up just south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a double major in neuroscience and psychology. He has worked with the pediatric population since he was in high school, volunteering at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh all through college. Dekman has found there is no better feeling than gaining the trust of a child while treating them. Additionally, the wide range of pediatric diagnoses and the unique conditions that can arise are both challenging and captivating. Outside of medicine, he enjoys skiing, playing soccer, watching sports, and having people try his cocktail recipes.
