Renee Cafun, MD

Dr. Renee Cafun grew up in Quincy, Illinois and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa, where she majored in biomedical engineering. She chose pediatrics because of the opportunity it offers to watch patients grow up over time, watch them blossom into themselves and begin to take ownership of their own health journeys. One thing she appreciates about medicine is that it allows the knowledge gained over the years to be transformed into something life-changing for patients. There is no greater gift in this world than sharing that knowledge with patients, whether in the form of treatment plans, patient education, research, or advocacy. Outside of medicine, Cafun enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, travelling, and spending time with friends.
