Professional Activities

Dr. Christina Bryndzia is assistant professor (CHS) in the Division of Critical Care. She is an active member in the Quality and Safety Committee and Center of Excellence Subcommittee of the Society for Pediatric Sedation. Bryndzia and her colleagues aim to determine best practices for high-quality pediatric sedation.

Clinical Interests

Bryndzia is a pediatric intensivist interested in pediatric sedation and cardiac physiology, working primarily in the pediatric sedation clinic. In this setting, she provides minimal, moderate, and deep sedation to pediatric patients for a variety of procedures.

Research Interests

Bryndzia’s research focuses on quality improvement projects related to pediatric sedation and interdepartmental communication. She is specifically interested in decreasing the amount of sedation needed in pediatric patients during non-invasive procedures with audio-visual distraction.
