Ilayda Aydin, MD

Dr. Ilayda Aydin grew up in Ankara, Türkiye (Turkey). In Türkiye, medical education is a six-year integrated program rather than a separate undergraduate degree, which she completed at Ankara University. Dr. Aydin chose pediatrics following her childhood dream of becoming a pediatrician. She truly enjoys interacting with children — they represent many of the most meaningful aspects of life, and she finds working with them to be not only fulfilling but also restorative. She is particularly interested in physiology and pathophysiology, as well as improving health literacy within communities. In her free time, Dr. Aydin enjoys dancing, being in nature, sightseeing, and taking photographs.

“I chose Madison and the University of Wisconsin for several reasons.
