Professional Activities
Dr. Amend is assistant professor (CHS) in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant and associate fellowship director for the Hematology and Oncology fellowship program. She was a recipient of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society/Novo Nordisk Clinical Scholar Award in 2022.
Clinical Interests
Amend’s clinical interests include bleeding and clotting disorders in children. She is the pediatric director of the Comprehensive Program for Bleeding Disorders, where patients with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and other factor deficiencies are treated. Amend is also generally interested in benign hematology including immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and hereditary spherocytosis (HS).
