Colleen Alexander, MD
Credentials: Emory University School of Medicine
Position title: PGY-2 Resident
Dr. Colleen Alexander moved quite a bit in her early life but spent most of her school years in Upstate New York. For her undergraduate degree, she studied nutrition science at Boston University. She spent two years in a pathology residency where she learned that she missed seeing patients every day. Interested in pediatrics throughout medical school, she knew it was the right choice when she thought about changing to a patient-facing field. Additionally, as a former registered dietitian, Alexander is very interested in the intersection of nutrition and medicine, including food security, patients with complex nutritional needs, and advocacy for the role of registered dietitians on interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Outside of medicine, Alexander enjoys cooking, drawing, reading, and spending time with her husband.
