The Meriter Foundation awarded Ryan McAdams, MD, professor in the Divisions of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery and Global Pediatrics, a $35,000 grant for his project, “Saving Babies with Virtual Reality: Transforming Neonatal Resuscitation.” This one-year project, which began in January of this year, seeks to advance Meriter’s leadership in neonatal education through the creation of an expanded virtual reality (VR) neonatal resuscitation training program. The project will deliver a comprehensive, start-to-finish resuscitation curriculum accessible to clinicians through wireless VR headsets, allowing them to practice high-stakes interventions in flexible, low-risk settings.
