Paul Sondel, MD, PhD, is the recipient of $50,000 from the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC fund) for his project, “Autologous KIR/ KIR-ligand mismatch, FcγR polymorphisms and their influences on response to tumor targeted immunocytokine.” This project hypothesizes that augmented, clinically meaningful, antibody dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) of tumors will result by combining tumor reactive monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) with cytokines that activate effector cells to mediate ADCC.
