Margaret Boyden, MD, Appointed Post-doctoral Trainee

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Margaret Boyden, MD, as a post-doctoral trainee on the National Institutes of Health-National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute Hematology training grant (Principal Investigator: John Sheehan, MD) beginning July 2011. Dr. Boyden will be working with Paul Sondel, MD, PhD, and Ken DeSantes, MD, investigating how immunocytokines mediate natural killer cell-mediated anti-tumor effects via the IL-2 receptor, along with impact of endogenous KIR/KIR ligand match versus mismatch in a model tumor system employing EBV transformed B cells. Her investigations will also include correlative studies in a haploidentical stem cell transplant pilot trial, and an immunotherapy trial employing the immunocytokine hu14.18IL2 in children with relapsed neuroblastoma.
