Edith and Arlan Rosenbloom Pediatric Endocrinology Lectureship/Visiting Professorship Fund

This fund was established with a gift from Arlan (BA ’55 MD ’58) and Edith Rosenbloom to advance scholarly activity, education, and research in pediatric endocrinology at the Comprehensive Diabetes Center (“the Center”).

The purpose of the fund will be to support a regularly scheduled lecture in pediatric endocrinology at the Center and/or support a visiting professorship in pediatric endocrinology at the Center.

Series Overview: Pediatric Grand Rounds is a weekly multidisciplinary and interprofessional conference designed to improve a participant’s ability to practice pediatric medicine, including patient care, conducting healthcare research, providing medical education, addressing public health, and implementing innovation.

Target Audience: MD/DO, RN, APRN, Residents, Fellows, and other Trainees.

Global Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify state of the art, evidence-based practices for prevention, diagnosis and treatment in pediatric medicine
  2. Analyze issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice relevant to pediatric care
  3. Collaborate and communicate effectively with other health care professionals, community members and families to advocate for the health care needs of children
  4. Describe new scientific advances and trends in pediatric medicine that may be translatable and impact future patient care
  5. Identify roles and responsibilities as part of a healthcare team that functions in value-driven, ethical environments
