Title: Accessible Healthcare: Addressing Healthcare Barriers for Individuals with Autism and Other Sensory Needs
Session Overview: This presentation provides healthcare professionals with practical strategies to better support Autistic patients across the spectrum. Participants will learn how sensory differences, communication needs, and invidiualized accommodations can improve patient experiences, reduce barriers to care, and foster more positive healthcare interactions for Autistic individuals and their families.

Series Overview: Pediatric Grand Rounds is a weekly multidisciplinary and interprofessional conference designed to improve a participant’s ability to practice pediatric medicine, including patient care, conducting healthcare research, providing medical education, addressing public health, and implementing innovation.
Target Audience: MD/DO, RN, APRN, Residents, Fellows, and other Trainees.

- Identify state of the art, evidence-based pediatric research and/or education, and/or clinical care including the prevention, diagnosis and treatment for pediatric patients.
- Analyze issues of social impact and belonging related to pediatric care.
