UW–Madison Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin hosted an evening reception at her home, Olin House, on September 14 for faculty members who were honored with major national awards in 2022–2023. Among the 49 honorees from across campus was Elizabeth Cox, MD, PhD, professor, Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Cox was one of six health professionals chosen as 2022–2023 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellows at the National Academy of Medicine. Fellows are chosen from a highly competitive national pool to spend a year in Washington, D.C. working on health-related legislative and regulatory issues with members of Congress and the executive branch. The fellowship is considered the nation’s most prestigious learning experience at the nexus of health, science, and policy.
