Why Choose the UW Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine Fellowship?
High-Volume Deliveries
The majority of clinical experiences take place at our community partner, UnityPoint Health – Meriter Hospital, the #1 hospital for deliveries in Wisconsin with over 4500 births per year.
A Comprehensive Children’s Hospital with a Level IV NICU
Additional experiences are available at American Family Children’s Hospital, a comprehensive children’s hospital with one of only two Level IV NICUs in the state. American Family Children’s Hospital provides services to premature and full-term infants requiring complex surgical interventions and/or subspecialty medical care.
A Strong Partnership with OB/GYN
The UW Department of Pediatrics has a close working relationship with the UW Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. That partnership, along with our program’s philosophy, results in a versatile and encompassing fellowship that will allow you to fully utilize the resources of both departments.
