Pamela Kling, MD, is a recent recipient of a Medical Education and Research Committee (MERC) Collaborative Health Sciences Program award. This grant is for $500,000 over two years and was awarded for Dr. Kling’s submission titled, “Closing the Gap on Pediatric Health Disparities: Discerning the Causes and Consequences of Iron Deficiency in Infancy.”
Her project partners with clinical and basic researchers in concert with an existing screening program run by the State Maternal and Child Health Department.
