Congratulations to De-Ann Pillers, MD, PhD on her recent grant of $47,176 from the Meriter Foundation. This is for her 1-year project, “Understanding Chronic Lung Disease (CLD) of the Premature Infant as a First Step in Developing New Therapeutic Interventions.” The aim of this study is to expand the use of a cell culture model to study the factors that contribute to CLD as well as the efficacy of commonly used clinical therapies.
