Principal Investigator Krishanu Saha, PhD, department of biomedical engineering, and co-Principal Investigator Christian Capitini, MD, associate professor, Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant, along with partners at the University of Georgia, were recently awarded a grant in the amount of $69,973 from partners of the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Cell Manufacturing Technologies (CMaT) for their project, “Manufacturing gene-edited and virus-free chimeric antigen receptor T cells.” The award will support a half-time graduate student in the Capitini lab and will help the team support Cell Manufacturing Technologies.
