The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) invited Bernadette Gillick, PhD, MSPT, PT, associate professor, Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine, to present at its Cerebral Palsy Workshop August 17–18. Gillick offered the presentation “Cortical Plasticity and Recovery from Neurologic Insult in Both Adult and Pediatric Populations” during the Basic and Translational Research session. The Workshop on Cerebral Palsy provide a forum for researchers, clinicians, and people with or affected by cerebral palsy to share updates on research progress and new opportunities since the publication of the 2017 NINDS/NICHD Strategic Plan for Cerebral Palsy Research.
