Researchers in the Division of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery and their colleagues are developing an artificial intelligence-based “digital mentor” to support the training of clinicians who help newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit breathe. The work may one day lead to making intubation — one of the highest-risk procedures performed in the NICU — safer and more effective.
